Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get an appointment? Typically, we can schedule Comprehensive Wellness Evaluations within a month. If you have specific travel dates to Denver, it is best to book early.

What insurance plans do you take? Our programs focus on wellness as opposed to disease. Consequently, insurance companies (including Medicare) do not cover professional fees, lab tests, or supplements. The Grossman Wellness Center does not accept or bill insurance directly, but we will be happy to provide you with a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurer. Many people use money from their HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) to pay for their Wellness Evaluations. Doing so enables them to pay with pre-tax dollars.

When do I get my results? Test results, your personalized recommendations and the generation of your report are generally completed within four weeks. Participants receive an email notifying them the report is ready and receive a hard copy of their report and test results to review prior to the follow-up appointment.

What about follow up appointments? The One and Two Day Programs include a 60 minute follow-up appointment to discuss the findings and recommendations. Half day program patients, and subsequent follow up appointments are arranged by phone or as office visits.

In “Fantastic Voyage”, Ray Kurzweil claims he takes 250 pills a day. Will I have to take that many? No. Supplement recommendations, on average, about 20 pills or less per day. Some initial supplements are focused on specific health issues discovered in your testing, and will not be continued long term.

If I can’t travel to Colorado for the program, what is the alternative? The best alternative is to schedule an initial phone consultation with Dr Grossman. We will send you new patient paperwork, including medical history information. At the conclusion of the phone appointment, Dr Grossman can recommend which tests would be appropriate. The complete program is only available by traveling to Colorado.

Is there someone in my area that does what you do? No. Alternative like-minded physicians can be found by going to the www.acam.org website. However, at this point in time, no clinic offers comprehensive wellness evaluations like Grossman Wellness Center.

Do you see people for regular illnesses? Yes. We also have a medical clinic which specializes in treatments and therapies for chronic disease and medical conditions for which Western medicine has sub-optimal options. A partial list of these conditions includes heart disease, cancer, autism, macular degeneration, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and heavy metal toxicity. We do not practice “primary care.”

Where do people stay when they come for the program? There are several hotel options within three miles of our clinic in the Golden, Lakewood, Denver West or Wheat Ridge communities. We will provide you with a list of hotels and healthy restaurants at the time you make your appointment.

How far are you from Denver International Airport? Our office is 30 miles from the airport, and is a comfortable 35-60 minute drive depending on traffic and road conditions.

Do you take credit cards? Yes, we take Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
